"With the right design, sustainability is nothing but the rigorous use of common sense" - Alejandro Aravena
My name is Mohan and I am a Graduate student in Architecture at Iowa State University. Learning about Green Building technologies during my undergraduate studies grew my interest in sustainable design and steered me into pursuing a career in architecture. My background in Civil Engineering helps me to think about the structure and practical applications while designing a project. The on-site experience working as a site engineer has given me an insight into the practical problems and challenges that one would face onsite during the construction of a project. These experiences have consistently helped me make valid decisions during the design process.
Besides the technical aspects, I strive to incorporate sustainable strategies into the design to enhance the utilization of renewable energy in a building and minimize the carbon footprint. Over the past year and a half in architecture, I have come through a learning and improving my skills and I will continue to do so.
