A clever re-design of a studio unit, space saving redesign effectively transforming it to feel as a 1 bedroom. The original unit had a single bed nook hence the Living area housed a queen sized bed, and the ‘bed nook’ was used for storage. By removing a short wall, relocating the Bathroom door, and reducing the Kitchen, the bed nook now fits a queen size bed in a private corner. The Bathroom and Kitchen were updated, and new flooring, lighting and painting provided. The Living area has now become a truly useable Living/ Dining area. This was all achieved on a very small budget, with only minor building works: demolition of a non-load bearing wall, and a door relocation. Clever use of bright colours, and the north facing aspect creates a bright open outlook to Rushcutters Bay.
