: Matthew Gindlesperger is an architectural designer, living and working in New York City. Growing up in the Appalachians of Pennsylvania, much of Matthew's design sensibilities derive from varied topographical landscapes. The influence of terrain on Matthew's work is quite evident within much of his personal, speculative work, using the ground plane and landscape to integrate, inform, and juxtapose architectural space and volume.
: Matthew has collaborated on numerous projects of varied scales with James Wines and SITE (Sculpture in the Environment). His most recent completed work is the Denny's Neonopolis Network, a Las Vegas Flagship for the restaurant brand which boasts a sculptural building envelope which was custom-fabricated with world-renowned metal fabricators, Zahner. Matthew has exhibited his work on this project with James Wines and SITE at the City College of New York's "A Line Around an Idea" exhibition.
: Matthew has also worked with the Planning and Urban Design Studio with RTKL in Washington DC, assisting in the development of new international urban centers.
: Matthew's work has been featured in Interior Design Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Las Vegas Review-Journal, and Eater.
: Research interest include sustainable technologies, environmental remediation, and ecological psychology.
