Different tracks are crossing the building site of Live the Box like the container's routes on the ocean. We emphasized these tracks for
obtaining the contours of the buildings, creating new structures where people are living, working, shopping or passing like on an ancient market place. The complex of buildings consists of apartments, offices, shopping and parking areas as well as the market place. Live the Box will be the first input making the district beyond the train station becoming more vibrant and livable.
The containers are reused for
the housing/office
the base of the „floating“ terrace
the cut out sheeting as sun screen lamellas on the facade
the pond
the relaxing plateau
the wall panels in the parking area.
The flexible, because wheel away terraces are giving the owners the upmost flexibility creating their own space.
Together with the adjustable sun screen lamellas the facade of Live the Box has always a new dynamic look.
The pond at the center of the market place consists of flooded containers with an integrated support for water plants and
„relaxing plateaux“ as recreation areas.
Live the Box is not only the working title, but the impulse of a whole concept, where people are living, working and relaxing in the same place. As the train station is within walking distance, it allows the exchange of people coming to Live the Box for working and relaxing and offers the occupants an easy access to public transports for heading off to work in other districts.
