This project was developed in Pergamino, Province of Buenos Aires and it involved turning an 70 m2 abandoned house in a farm into a 200 m2 guest house.
The clients wanted to create a comfortable space in which to receive their guests; with guest rooms facing towards the farm and an integrated living room - dining room - kitchen with long views.
Again, in this project my intention was to nest nature's resemblance within walls .
The guesthouse is located in a 30m distance to the main house, to which it once faced. Our quest was to shift its orientation towards the open farm. Also, we worked together to add a new circulation area to the house.
Our decisions involved creating big windows to bring in the light and to leave the existing ceilings -with treatment wherever possible. In the new area we created, we were careful to keep the same rythm and tone but with a more modern approach to building.
Regarding distribution, we created two studios on each side of the house: one with access from the entrance hall and a second one with access through the living room - dining room - kitchen area.
We also decided on a varanda facing north-west: a common a rea to contemplate nature.
