This 350 m2 housing project was designed and developed in an plot of 1000 m2. A terrain with a great sized garden, located in the corner of a block in Estancias del PIlar, a gated community 50 km away from Buenos Aires.
The clients had an Andalucian style in mind for their house. They pictured a courtyard both as an area for greetings and as a source of ventilation and light for the house.
They imagined high ceelings on ample spaces, and an integrated kitchen with a common area and a barbacue spot.
As a security measure, they asked for a clear division between the common areasand the bedrooms, in order to be able to isolate if necessary.
My aim with this project was to make the most of the plot of land, with its north-west oriented garden with beautiful trees on a very mellow street.
I focused on bringing nature and natural light into the house without losing privacy. This is why we chose to open big doorways towards the garden, to bring the inside and the outside closer together.
Also, the plot of land is next to a green area, so we made the most of those long views.
