This concept utilizes a modular shade structure for the Full Throttle Queue and Station. I took inspiration from the geometry of the plaza and the performance stage and combined them into an extreme music festival style stage for the Full Throttle roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain. By incorporating solar panels on the roof, the system stores energy to power the audio and visual components as well as the night time lighting. I think it’s important to intertwine amusement parks with renewable energy design because it opens up a world of creative solutions in a world that is not seen as sustainable.
