Headquarters-Research & Development

The design challenge for this project was to create a fresh image for this young company whose origins were based on a traditional large corporation.  At the time, their headquarters where functioning from three different locations in two different states.  The fundamental drive for the programming/space planning was to consolidate all three offices under one roof while introducing new solutions to upgrade their work environment.

  • Implemented new company standards providing three levels of individual works-spaces (Enclosed office 1, 2 and workstations)
  • Integrated all three levels clusters of open and enclosed offices to aid in department flexibility and noise reduction
  • Sustainable design strategies: Maximized natural light; Clustered majority of solid spaces within interior spaces; Utilized removable glass fronts; 60 percent of materials, Furniture and Finishes have recycled content and/or are recyclable
