Located on Nantucket Island this pool house was built to complement the main house designed by Edward Knowles a few years before. Overlooking a sunken garden and pool, the main room is octagonal and framed by posts and trusses with a compression ring of steel. As a part of preparing the working drawings I consulted with the structural engineer guiding the design of the 'subtly ornamented' steel connectors within the margins of a spare aesthetic.
