About

I graduated from Tulane University in spring 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a minor in Real Estate. My academic and professional pursuits center around architecture and design, particularly climate change and community development. I hold an accreditation as a LEED Green Associate from the USGBC

My work has consisted of various community-based projects, examining the current discord between the built environment and people’s lives. Edge of Tomorrow, an undergraduate thesis, researches and develops methods to mitigate storm surge flooding using inflatable architecture as an alternative form of protection compared to environmentally harmful hard infrastructure. The thesis examines the current implications of sea level rise on communities, while proposing a habitable solution to engaging with an urban coastline. The Edge of Tomorrow was published in a Dezeen magazine article, Tulane University Presents Eight Architecture Thesis Student Projects.

Other projects, including Breath of Fresh Air, Mitigating Air Pollutants Through Algae Photobioreactors, and research into Tree Equity Relating to Low Income Housing, examine the current disparities between climate resiliency and low-income communities. I plan to continue my work to help those at risk of climate-based hardships.

I previously worked with the Pierre Parlante Project, a non-profit based in New Orleans with a mission toward revitalizing Lafayette Cemetery No.2 through restoration to create an educational space. My work entailed meeting with local community leaders, groups, municipal directors, and documenting the restoration details. I learned vital skills toward working with community members, specifically taking on the role of listening to their needs and outlook on the future of their neighborhood.
