Hi, I’m Mateen Mortazavi. I was born in California in 1990, and grew up in Palo Alto, CA. In 2013, I graduated from California College of the Arts with a BA in architecture. My interest in architecture stems from my constant exposure to my families business. My father and brother are both luxury home developers and my mother, an interior designer.
During my time at CCA, I had the opportunity to design architectural projects throughout a diverse range of focus. I have explored a variety of software, and have become versatile in fabrication techniques. The parameters of my interests ranged and developed as I progressed each semester passed.
While my primary focus at CCA was architecture, my talents are multi-disciplinary. I have been a musician since an early age, and not only do I plays a number of instruments; guitar, drums, piano, bass, mandolin, and cello, but I also teach music. I have also worked on projects in fashion design, furniture design, photography and animation.
I enjoy traveling a great deal, and I have visited many countries including Copenhagen, Iran, France, and Russia. This has given me the opportunity to experience numerous diverse cultures, architectural visions, and masterpieces.
