i have also continuously fostered that the design par tee is upheld, uplifted and forwarded by everyone that lays down a line, sketches a clarification, or models a surface or an edge; from Schematic design through Construction administration. We are all designers and specifiers supporting and evolving the building and its environment beyond our client's needs. 

Sustainable design is more than water quality, air quality, energy reclamation, hand-prints, foot-prints, LEED credits, Energy-Star points, etc. It is an envelope of thought, predispositions to the environment and material sensitivities as we develop, specify and assist the builders to a fruition of performance attainable within scope/schedule & budget for our client.

QA/QC is also paramount, and tantamount to the design itself in this litigious environment of our profession, in each construction delivery method (e.g. DBB, DB, PPP).
