About

My name is Maria Camila Verastegui, I have been living in New York City for 5 years. I have been trained as an architect and I  completed my master’s degree in Interior Design at Parsons the New School. I hope to find my place in a multi-disciplinary firm, where I can work as an interior designer but also have the opportunity to collaborate in other disciplines like graphic design, furniture and branding.

I have experience on working in small and big scales projects, from landscape to furniture design. While much of my experience has been in architecture design, I appreciate and fully understand the interior design work and fully requirement of the details.

In every single project I have worked on, I have fully developed the smallest details of the components that build up the whole project. I have a deep sensitivity with materials and with low environmental impact. I fully appreciate and concern of how materials and details play an important role in the design of any project no matter it scales, well everything should be design in human scale.

After a couple of years being in the interior design field, I have developed a great sensitivity to color and textures, as well as graphic design.

I have attached my resume and the link for my online portfolio https://issuu.com/mariacamilaverastegui/docs/mariacamilaverasteguiportfoliowebfi, where you can find an overview of my skills and interest.
