Marco Visconti was born in Turin in 1957. He took a master's degree in architectural design at UCLA in Los Angeles, he graduated in engineering from the Politecnico di Torino and in architecture at the University of Genoa. He collaborated with Renzo Piano from 1984 to 1986, from 1987 to 2006 worked in Turin as the group's director of architecture Fiatengineering.
In January 2007 he founded in Turin a professional office that deals with sustainability in architecture for industry, education, offices and culture. In response to the environmental emergency, the group creates projects motivated by respect for nature and a wide interpretation of changing human needs. His office, Marco Visconti architects, is a multidisciplinary creative workshop where architects and engineers pose, at the base of their work, the bioclimatic passive key. Fundamental characteristic of their projects is the search for the best relationship between man and nature in a logic of use and understanding of the surrounding environment.
Among the achievements, the industrial complex Fiat Melfi; computer centers for Railways in Mestre and Palermo, the Iveco training center in Turin, the training center in Lecce Hitachi; showrooms for cars in Berlin, Paris, London; the halls Mechanics, Painting and Restaurant for Ferrari in Maranello; the conference room of the automobile museum in Turin; the building services of the circuit of Mugello; the Tower of Lodi office Zucchetti; the Fiat Design Center in Betim, Brazil.
Marco Visconti had been appointed by Foster + Partners as site architect for Turin Law Faculty project and UAE Expo 2015 Pavilion in Milan. He also worked as visiting professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino and he lectures at numerous Italian and foreign universities. He is the author of publications and thematic books and his projects are documented by the most important international architectural reviews.
