Urban deign project for the HOLCIM sustainable architecture competition 2014
Project consists in the re-conversion of the first basin of the Beirut port and the creation of a link from this cultural hub to the city behind. This link is make through an urban park that replaces the existing highway. The highway from it's part will be shifted underground to occupy an already existing car parking lot that is unused. Many infrastructures additions have been studied to accompany this urban plan like urban parking lots, tram rails, bicycle lanes, boardwalks, food-truck stops, cultural programs, philharmonic, etc.
This project was followed by some mentors in our university just to have a feasible aspect.
