The library was designed with the idea of the living in mind. It tries to recreate that lost idea of the family room (living room) in the homes of America. North Pittsburgh is one of this places. The library will allow for mentoring between the different group ages, which is part of the living room idea, where everyone gets to share his/her daily experiences.
