The Sankofa Village Community Garden grows fresh produce for the surrounding community of Homewood. As part of extending the farm, the given site will enlarge the landscape area to grow more food while educating the community about the process. The community center to be designed will help in providing classrooms and teaching kitchen for education. Handicap accessibility and preserving site conditions were the main requirements posed by the CEO of Sankofa Village Community Garden. Her vision for the future of the community is to provide jobs, education, and knowledge on growing fresh produce for keeping the tradition of growing food in the community alive.
