When Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in 2005, it damaged countless artifacts from the university’s Special Collections Archives. This project is designed to be the new home of the Archives. 

Passageways stretch across the open courtyard connecting private and public programs, and facilitating the flow of archival materials. This organization allows the natural light into the reading rooms and classrooms, while the archival material remains protected.
