A reconfigurable display booth which is made entirely out of plywood without the need for any fasteners or adhesives. The entire design slots together in a sequence which keeps the previous pieces secured in place.
A key component of the design was its ability to be easily and quickly disassembled, transported, and then reassembled in libraries around the city. To keep the assembly process as simple as possible, there are only twelve unique pieces which create modules that can be easily transported and assembled together.
As the structure would be traveling to various unique libraries around Auckland, the booth was designed to be assembled into multiple configurations in order to adapt to different floor plan layouts.
The final design was assembled by four people in under 30 minutes, and disassembled in less. Additionally, the flat pack nature of the design allows it to be transported effectively to the next location.
