The project was based on the adaptive reuse of the building located in the Gowanus neighborhood, Brooklyn. By conducting research, documentation and redesign of an existing structure, I was able to create a 6-story hostel with a commercial cellar. The project was done in two phases. Phase 1 was to construct a commercial space without alternating the existing structure. The second phase was to add a hostel to the existing structure.
