KOTUstudio is Istanbul and New York based interdisciplinary design practice dedicated to research and design on a variety of subjects, has been shaped since 2008 by Yelta Köm and Erdem Tüzün.
KOTUstudio examines contemporary design and architectural problems at the intersection of
politics, art, technology and architecture, and uses speculation as a design tool to reach deeply solutions. In order to realize it through emergent technologies by problematizing a particular existing assumption of architecture, KOTUstudio believes that conventional systems can be replaced by physical manifestation of a highly sophisticated merge of digital techniques and materiality as well as its aesthetic and programmatic effects on contemporary culture.
