I am a licensed Architect with approximately eight years of working experience from design offices in both New York and Hong Kong. Currently I am working as a freelance designer, focusing on residential design in the New York area.

   My last full time job experience was with Hart Howerton New York office, which ended in June 2020. During the time, I have been focusing on the Cayman Island Mandarin Oriental Hotel project. I worked closely with our principles to implement design ideas and I am also responsible for drawing production and project coordination. This is also my first project to fully utilize Revit as a design and documentation tool from concept to CD stage. Upon the completion of the CD phase, I decided to leave the firm and seek for new career challenges. 

    Prior to that, I have six years of working experience in Architectural offices in Hong Kong, working on a board range of projects. With Benoy Architects, I was actively involved in a mega shopping center project from concept to construction administration stage. The project, Suzhou center has won several prestigious awards, including the ‘Best New Shopping Center’ at MAPIC Awards 2018 and Best Chinese Futura Mega project at the MIPIM Asia Awards 2015. It features complex façade systems, including the largest glass canopy roof in the world. My role in this project focused on building envelope design, digital modeling, drawings production and liaised with design consultants and contractors for project coordination.

     In terms of design software skills, I am proficient in Revit, Autocad, Rhino and Google Sketchup. I am always eager to explore new design ideas and to incorporate new technologies in design. Recently, I am exploring ways to incorporate VR technologies and Digital sketching in the design process.

     During my spare time, I volunteered to use my expertise to help people in need. In 2015, after the major earthquake in Nepal, I had a chance to work with a group of professionals to design a reconstruction plan in a small neighborhood in the Bhaktapur city. I have also volunteered as a tutor to lead a group of Architecture students to design and produce home furniture for vulnerable families in Hong Kong. In 2018, after relocation to New York, I worked four months as a full-time volunteer for a non-profit organization, Global  ARCHIVE, to deliver Architecture design strategies to improve the health conditions in vulnerable families.
