The challenge of this project was to design a contemporary, sleek yet traditionally rooted facade scheme for a cricket stadium, where the structural parameters were already set. This called for an in depth study of different possible facade schemes in combination with various materials. The design also had to take clues from local architecture, craft,and culture. Finally, the entire structure would have to be a lightweight construction at a moderate budget.
