Old town of Riga, Latvia has a rich cultural history. 

The goal of the project was to protect the culture and heritage through elevation details, colours, materials and roofing structures (including the laws of preservation of culture and heritage for UNESCO sites) and include modern design attributes to enhance accessibility, functionality and spatial communication of the region. 

The solution proposed used the traditional old town red brick and maintained the sloped roof with obtuse slopes and dormer windows that is seen in the surrounding buildings. 

There was volumetric freedom to expand to as close to the streets and spill the functions of the restaurant seating onto the side street according to season.
