I graduated from the Master of Architecture program at PRATT INSTITUTE in New York City, class of 2018. Whilst studying there I also worked in Pratt's Rapid Prototyping Lab from June 2016 to June 2018, working primarily with 3D printing, laser cutting and general model construction. I am originally from Bogotá, Colombia, where I obtained my first undergraduate degree in Industrial & Product Design from Universdiad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. I later relocated to Hong Kong, where I obtained a second degree, graduating from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies. I took courses in and self-studied different software from Revit, Auto-Cad and Rhinoceros to 3dsMax and Maya, as well as the Adobe suite including PSD, Ai and In-design, After Effects, Premiere Pro, to name a few. In addition to digital design, I am also very interested in model construction.
Shortly after completing my Master’s degree I joined BDF Design, an architecture firm specializing in residential design, where I became familiar with city zoning and building codes as well as construction documents and Department of Buildings application processes. This opportunity opened the doors to my most significant contact in the architecture field, as I moved to MVA (Mark Vetter Architecture). Once there, I was introduced to a more hands-on approach. My responsibilities expanded to site surveying, documentation and existing conditions model crafting through schematic design, egress and accessibility, drawing document sets for design development, construction and bidding to construction administration with an emphasis submittal reviews, site meetings and punch-lists focused on PEC design facilities for clients such as Soulcycle, Rumble, Barry's Bootcamp and retail stores for Everlane.

Gensler, Bogotá, CO / New York / Los Angeles, Architectural Designer & BIM Administrator
Collaborating with Gensler offices located in NY, LA & LV in the documentation and coordination of various retail, aviation, sports centers, and workspace projects. Additionally, involved with the Design Technology team acquiring relevant knowledge on all different internal digital tools aimed to improve team members' productivity metrics and simultaneously transferring said knowledge to the Bogota office. all previously mentioned responsibilities allowed me to expand my role to BIM administrator, creating a bridge between team members, consultants, and clients; creating project templates, guiding and providing technical support to any inquiries concerning software operability, project design, and development.
MAD - Matiz Architecture & Design, New York, NY, US, Architectural Designer
Assisted in the design process for the remodeling of a single-family apartment in Hoboken, New Jersey; the implementation of drafting software such as Auto-CAD, Rhinoceros, Revit, and Sketch-up was essential for the preparation of fit-out plans, kitchen design & furniture detailing. Other responsibilities were to draw elevations, plans, sections, and detail drawings for an upcoming presentation and official record.
Mark Vetter Architecture, New York, NY, US, Architectural Designer
Joint effort in PCE (Physical Culture Establishment), high-end retail, and hospitality in New York, Chicago, Boston, and Walnut Creek, CA. Initial surveying visit; consultant/client/landlord/contractor meeting and fit-out proposals, ADA-compliant schematic design. Construction project management and coordination; production of drawing sets at 40%, 70% & 90% progress for client review. Project manager for regulation in construction management, coordination with submittals and RFI review, and schedules organization and logs. Constant communication with MEP, structural and acoustics engineers. Clients among Rumble, Soulcycle, Barry's boot camp & Everlane. Final punch-list visits, photography record, acoustic and vibration isolation.
BDF Designs - Building Design Architecture PLLC, New York, NY, US, Architectural Designer
Participation in one / two family stand-alone home design, these residential projects are all located in Brooklyn, New York. Department of buildings surveys collection, project research, surveying, development, and 3D modeling. Assistance with the design development of construction drawings package, revision, and assembly. Collaboration and communication with Structural and MEP consultants for construction drawings to DOB, applications for BSA, drawing packages, as well as Landmarks commission; In-depth Auto-Cad and Revit drawing package revision and dispatch for re-adjustments. Create analytical diagrams and 3-D renderings, pick up and correct red-line markings from construction sets.
PRATT INSTITUTE - Rapid Prototyping Lab, Brooklyn, NY, US, Digital Output Technician Trainer
Student projects Review, aid, improvement & development through current 3D-printing software. All lab Equipment operation (PLA, wax & Resin 3D printer) & Maintenance. Wax, PLA, and resin 3D Prints Adjustments, printing, curing, and final preparation for delivery. Other responsibilities among 3D Scanning with two different types of scanners; small, medium & large objects. Body part/Full Body scanning (Artec Eva & Spider). Scans digital assembly, pairing/curing, printing, and/or file STL setting production. Alongside these duties, I was also responsible for new incoming student workers' training and adaptation to Lab’s work process and equipment operations.

Collaboration in various hospitality projects simultaneously; often one-family homes and restaurants in Macau, Hong Kong & guangdong province in China, as well as project research, massing studies, development and 3D modeling. Common responsibilities among, finish materials selection and collection, mood-board design, leader support in meetings and presentations; Furniture selection, 3D modeling, rendering and specification drawings. Mediator between design director and outsourced consultant teams for 3D modeling, render and specifications. Site visiting, accompanied by the Design director for project supervision and consultant/landlord/client meetings.

Involved in Large-scale projects; residential, commercial, and mixed-used developments in China; Project research, massing studies, development, and 3D modeling.
