House MT

This residence is located on the south of the city of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, located in the area of highest commercial value in this Mexican state.

From the begging, the main idea in the design of this house was to create a modern space using material from the region which produce a sense of belonging to the town of Morelia, which is known under the name of the yellowed stone city. This yellowed stones were used to frame the main axis of the house crossing it from side to side.

The house is built in the top of a mountain, so it was important to take the advantage of the surrounded views the house has, therefore the use of glassed facades that provide contact with the exterior.

Due to the neighborhood regulations it was needed to use brick/stone fences to protect the house land.
