Monster Ranch is a vacation residence situated in California's Mojave desert offering respite from the desert heat and the celebration of the expanse and views that it offers. Built from concrete and steel, tucked into-and-just-below the properties hilltop mount, the three bedroom suites are situated out of the sun and each have an adjacent soaking pool and light scoop. The living, dining, and pool areas are oriented towards the sunset and a view looking up the axis of a desert wash basin. The house aims to be both shelter-from and in celebration-of the desert environment. This is achieved with grottos and light scoops & axial circulation and views, respectively.
