Local Produce is a proposed urban farming concept for the city of Springfield, MA. The project is a solution to local food security issues in the area, as well as an alternative to a petroleum based food production model. The project uses passive solar greenhouses and strawbale building, to provide spaces for year round production of fresh, local food. Local produce would serve as a resource and education center for people interested in producing their own food. This was my Masters Degree Thesis project at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
