Interior Designer (Minimum 2 years experience)

COOKFOX is seeking a Junior Interior Designer with 2-4 years of professional experience. This position focuses on conceptual and schematic design, sourcing of FF&E, planning, budgeting, procurement, tracking, furnishings installation, and photo shoots. This position requires excellent communication, presentation, organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The best candidates will have enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and a dedication to design.

Candidate qualifications:

  • 2-4 years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interior design
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with strong graphic, organizational, and communication skills
  • Professional & collaborative in dealing with multiple in-house teams and a variety of clients, consultants, and vendors.
  • Strong design and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task, and work somewhat independently.
  • Experience working on multiple interiors projects: high-end, multi-, and single-family residential and/or hospitality/commercial experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Excel, SketchUp, and 3D modelling software preferable. Experience with Fohlio or design management software a plus.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Interior design and project management from the design phase through installation
  • Familiarity with a wide range of FF&E products and vendors and ability to source furniture, fabrics, fixtures, equipment, area rugs, window treatments, accessories, and art for multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with generating FF&E specifications, procurement, tracking and scheduling.
  • Ability to assist with meeting preparations and presentation documents, onsite installations, decorative styling, and photoshoots.
  • Ability to generate FF&E layouts, elevations, custom furniture and millwork drawings, and 3D renderings
  • Familiarity with relevant interiors building codes and accessibility standards.
  • Maintenance of the Interiors Material Library
