Award-winning Interior Design firm seeks a proactive, ambitious and energetic Operations Assistant to perform a unique and diverse set of tasks, which are outlined but not limited to the items to follow. You will be the glue that holds things together in our studio. This position is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on day-to-day diversity in tasks. We are a dynamic studio that is immersed in several worlds—design, art, culture, charity, eco-friendly products and fashion—and the person who holds this position will be involved in each world. We are a fun, joyful, hard-working studio looking for someone with very strong organizational skills, but almost equally important are intangible assets such as the ability to go with the flow, have fun, and approach tasks with a creative and open mind. Operations Assistant:
Assist Director of Operations and firm Principal.
Act as front of house to receive and distribute packages and mail.
Perform opening duties for the studio—turning on lights, monitors, aromatherapy, etc.
Order and monitor supplies and place food orders.
Assist and monitor hospitality for occasional studio events and client meetings.
Assist with philanthropic initiatives.
Assist with PR, social media, events, publications, and product launches.
Assist with email marketing campaigns.
Assist design team with miscellaneous needs, such as sourcing samples from showrooms, compiling presentation boards, ordering supplies, outgoing mailings, etc.
Miscellaneous tasks such as bank deposits, running out for supplies, running errands.
You must be organized, energized, dependable, self-directed, and able to multi-task.
Key Qualifications:
Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and all Social Media platforms using PC are a huge plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with a diverse group of people.
Polished, energetic with strong visual sense.
Ability to juggle several tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team player.
