SIGNAGE & WAYFINDING PROJECT MANAGER
Description Pentagram’s New York office is seeking a full-time Signage Project Manager to execute signage, wayfinding and environmental design projects. The Signage Project Manage will support the team in the execution of projects and managing communication between the project designers, production vendors, contractors, fabricators, and client team.
Responsibilities
Attend and minute internal and client-facing meetings, tracking feedback, requested revisions, and new scope items, noting next steps and due dates to ensure timely completion of all deliverables
Work with project designers to understand design intent and translate schematic design into fully developed design intent documents
Location planning and message schedule drafting of signage
Manage and track project deliverables, from concept development to final delivery
Work with the design team to organize and manage project files, assets, and deliverables
Draft proposals, prepare cost estimates, and create signage presentations
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in Environmental Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Architecture in a similar role that encompasses both design and administrative responsibilities. Candidates without experience in the field of Architecture/Interior Design need not apply; this is not a graphic design position.
Must be proficient in CAD and 3D modeling programs (AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, etc.), Adobe CC (especially InDesign and Acrobat), Keynote, Google apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to interpret schematic designs (renderings, sketches, etc.) and apply technical knowledge and experience of architecture/engineering to progress concepts into fully-realized design intent drawings ready for execution
Technical drawing skills that demonstrate clear communication, precision and quality draftsmanship
An understanding of the industry practices, processes, and protocol
Flexible, intuitive, and proactive; able to anticipate client needs
Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with a range of vendors, fabricators, contractors, project leaders, and stakeholders.
