Scott Edwards Architecture seeks a BIM Manager to join our staff.

Position Purpose:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a crucial component of the architectural process. To successfully use BIM, we recognize the need for thoughtful management and on-going system maintenance. We are looking for a collaborative, well-rounded individual to join our team and lead BIM development in Autodesk Revit and related software office wide. This person will help define office modeling practices, provide project team support, and be actively involved in the training of existing and new staff.
Candidates must be effective communicators, self-motivated, service-oriented, and dependable; possessing a strong desire to learn and help others.
Primary responsibilities:
- Serve as an expert resource for project teams with day-to-day modeling questions and challenges.
- Curate and maintain effective project template(s) and content library.
- Provide technical orientation to new hires regarding BIM tools and standards.
- Support and promote office standards and industry best-practices to further improve design, documentation, and productivity.
- Coordinate staff training and educational opportunities.
- Manage design software vendor relationships.
- Serve as IT liaison for BIM-related issues and assist in implementation of new software releases.
- Help develop BIM strategies for marketing pursuits and project proposals.
- Track emerging technologies and make recommendations to firm leadership.
Other details:
- Reports to a Principal and works closely with the Quality Control (QC) and Information Technology (IT) teams.
- Proactively pursue personal development to remain proficient in latest BIM technologies and software by attending conferences, seminars and workshops for BIM and construction technology.
- Be organized, service-oriented, and enjoys engaging with people, being willing to work flexibly – adapting to the needs of a versatile staff.
- Available during office hours, and working in office at least 3-4 days, on a predictable schedule.
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related software.
- Ability to build and maintain Revit model and detail components.
- Knowledge of professional architectural practice standards; familiarity with architecture, construction industry standards, levels of development (LOD), project delivery methods, and contract types.
- Proven experience working on multiple Revit projects start to finish.
- Good communication skills.
- 5+ years’ experience in Architecture or similar field.
Not required, but highly desirable:
- Experience with sustainability or green initiatives.
- Advanced Education
