Founded in 2002, Fluidity Design Consultants is a leading, Los Angeles-based water feature design and engineering firm with an international practice. Fluidity’s work has been recognized for its creativity and design excellence through numerous awards, competition successes, publications, and speaking engagements. The firm collaborates with many of the world’s most respected architects, landscape architects, institutions and real estate developers in the realization of water features for all kinds of significant and delightful places.
Fluidity seeks a 3D visualization specialist and renderer with strong design skills. The ideal candidate should be versed in multiple 3d software programs and must possess a variety of skills including digital modeling and the knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Applicants must be attentive to details and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. This position will work closely with the design team on projects to develop stunning visualizations of Fluidity projects.
Responsibilities:
3D Digital modeling
Rendering including composition, lighting, material creation
Post processing using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other software programs. Animation experience is a plus.
Working as part of a design team on competitions and early-stage design projects
Offer critical thinking on how to best illustrate a project or project ideas
Occasionally assist with development and compilation of presentation materials
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of professional working experience
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Bachelor’s degree in architecture (preferred but not required)
Proficiency with design and rendering software: Rhino/Enscape/Vray (Additional software knowledge including Rhino SubD, Blender, Maya, and 3ds Max, Revit, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro are a plus)
Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
Ability to take design direction, feedback, and observations with a positive attitude
