SENIOR TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Kadre architects is a capital ‘D’ design centric office supporting social causes with affordable and homeless housing solutions at its core along with a diverse range of governmental, institutional, and commercial projects. At Kadre you will have a diverse range of design and technical responsibilities while being supported within an intimate office structure. The office is located in Eagle Rock and we are hiring for an in-person full time position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically expert, yet design-focused senior architect to join our team.  The successful candidate will assist project teams to develop, document & deliver beautifully resolved, meticulous and technically robust solutions to detailing & design problems.

They will have significant experience in the delivery of complex projects across residential, civic, and commercial sectors.  The ideal candidate will draw on their significant experience to ensure a project’s material resolution is robust & constructible whilst reinforcing the established design direction. They will bring a thoughtful, open-minded, and collaborative approach to their work. 

Finally, the ideal candidate will be able to balance multiple project commitments, sectors and deadlines, and will be comfortable and assertive when dealing with clients, consultants, and builders. KADRE seeks to create projects that are design forward, challenging, exemplary, public in spirit, and undertaken with an economy of means. Current work spans residential, public and civic, typologies.

Project Role & Responsibilities

Assist projects teams to technically resolve projects during DD and documentation phases, and to advise project architects during construction.

Bring their documentation & construction experience to bear in anticipating & proactively solving technical project challenges.  Work proactively and professionally with external collaborators including clients, consultants, and other project partners

Office Role & Responsibilities

Works across several teams; the position is to serve as an office-wide source of knowledge & advice. Reports to Studio Director and works collaboratively with the practice leadership to develop project standards, benchmarks, and processes around detailing, documentation, and project delivery. Nurture and support junior staff.

Qualifications

12+ years of post-degree professional working experience;   Thorough understanding of regulations, standards, and construction methods & materials; Software Knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam is preferred, Experience with AutoCAD & Rhino is helpful.
