Obata Noblin Office is a small, residential and commercial firm based in a lovely, light and plant-filled studio in San Francisco. We're seeking a Senior Architect to join our office. Through collaboration we create beautiful, surprising and site-specific spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture, detailing, a strong design sense, and an ability to work collaboratively and manage design teams. We strive to create a fun studio atmosphere and work a 9am - 6pm schedule. Come join us!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Registered Architect. California Architect License is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architecture, with a focus on residential or small-commercial, design-intensive projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • In-depth understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and sustainable practices.

Description

  • Lead the technical development of architectural projects, including detailed drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software and BIM tools.
  • Collaborate with project architects, designers, and clients to refine architectural designs and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants and contractors to integrate structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into architectural designs.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure compliance with construction documents and design specifications..
  • Develop and implement technical standards, protocols, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality of design and construction documentation.
  • Creative problem-solving aptitude, with a keen eye for design and detail.
