Nomad Design is a small studio based in Los Angeles focused on crafting unique residential projects for clients that evoke the character and spirit of their surroundings. In just a few years, the company has been able to get its start by completing 6 custom homes totaling more than 75,000 SF - all set in exotic locations from the hills of Los Angeles to the desert mountains surrounding Palm Springs. The company offers the unique advantage of working design/build on the majority of its projects - including leading the interior and landscape design from start to finish. We believe in developing a singular vision across all disciplines including construction for a tailored, one-stop-shop for clients.

We are looking to hire an architectural designer with 3-5 years of related work experience to help grow the team. The individual will work parallel with the principal architect and construction team on a daily basis to bring projects from concept to CD’s and manage them all the way through CA. We encourage applicants to look at this as an opportunity to push the limits of design work with a team uniquely integrated across construction, real estate development, and the business of architecture.

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience (preferably custom residential)
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit for building out comprehensive drawings sets and 3D modeling throughout the entire design process (SD - CD)

  • Experience +  understanding in contemporary design related construction methods and detailing
  • Excellent communication, and coordination skills, especially as it relates to project consultants and project delivery
