Project Coordinator: A project lead that oversees and works with a job captain and/or a team of junior designers working on a specific project.  In charge of creating drawings from SD, DD, and CD’s.  They ensure that the team stays on schedule and executes the drawings that conform to the requirements of the project architect/manager.   Participates in design studies and evaluation of design proposals under the direction of the Senior Designer, Senior Design Manager, Project Architect, or Senior Project Coordinator.

5-8 years minimum experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the project manager /  project architect in producing a complete set of coordinated construction drawings
  • Work with the project manager / project architect in coordinating and resolving design systems with all the consultants
  • Develop the working drawings in conjunction with the specific standards inherent to the studio
  • Keeps track of the drawings ensuring that the output is within the design intent by coordinating with the designer
  • Able to produce a fully coordinated set
  • Demonstrate project leadership by mentoring job captains and/or junior designers throughout the process
  • Work with Senior Designer, Senior Design Manager, Project Architect, or Senior Project Coordinator to resolve design issues with creative and practical solutions

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 5-8 years minimum experience
  2. Proficient in Revit and ACAD
  3. Strong graphic, organization, and communication skills
  4. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the project team within the studio
  5. Able to produce a complete set of working drawings with guidance from the project manager / project architect
  6. Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  7. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  8. Ability to work cooperatively with others
