Overview

Fahey Design Build is looking for a highly motivated Architectural Draftsman with design skills and a keen interest in the built environment to join our team of architects and craftsmen.

Qualified candidates should have a professional degree in architecture (M.Arch or B.Arch) and be actively pursuing licensure. Excellent communication skills including writing, speaking and drawing are a must and carry significance in our search. Experience in delivering a design to physical realization (i.e. physical model, furniture, full scale mockup, prototype) is a must.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design with project team, clients, and consultants
• Draw and 3D model all phases of projects from concept through technical drawings
• Manage drawing sets with discipline
• Render design concepts and details with efficiency
• Assist PMs with zoning analysis, client meetings, material specification, and DOB filing

Required Skills

• Communication (command of English language a must)
• Hand sketching
• AutoCAD
• 3D modeling (Rhino)
• Rendering (Rhino/3DSM)
• Revit a plus
