Sutro Architects is an award-winning and design-oriented firm specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. We are looking for professional, thoughtful, and self-motivated individuals to join our San Francisco studio. In addition to working as a team on larger projects, our firm believes in early responsibility for those architects willing to take on a challenge and run their own projects. We work on beautiful projects across a spectrum of styles and take our design seriously, but our people and culture are both collaborative and fun.

The Designer will, under the direct supervision of Project Architects and Studio Directors, assist in the research, design, illustration, and execution of projects, completing individual tasks with limited supervision/quality control. It is expected that the Designer will receive some instruction for these tasks and mentorship to successfully complete them and will learn the overall structure of the project schedules, budget tracking, and deliverables tool sets in anticipation of managing an individual project.

PLEASE NOTE: While we are not requiring employees to work at our physical office at this time, we do require everyone to work from home in the San Francisco Bay Area so they can attend in-person project meetings and site visits as required.
