Torrey LLC is seeking a Senior Interior designer with at least 4 years of professional experience. This NYC-based, rapidly expanding boutique company creates spaces that reflect each client's unique personality and elevates their visions into one-of-a-kind spaces. The ideal candidate will possess design and technical skills and experience in every phase of the process, including working closely with the clients and the Torrey design team to bring each project to life. Ideal candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design or Architecture.
Strong design, presentation, and communication skills.
Software fluency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and Sketchup (Revit and Rhino experience a plus).
Project management experience, successfully working on a project from inception to installation.
Ability to work well with others and multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentation materials and maintain a professional demeanor with vendors and clients.
Be a self-motivated and proactive team member who can meet project timelines and actively add to the design conversation.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience in all aspects of the role, such as:
Meeting with clients to establish interior design goals for the projects.
Prepare precedent images and concept materials for initial internal and client presentations.
Production of design presentations including strong visual & graphics ability bringing Interior concepts to 2D & 3D representation for client review
Communicate with vendors and visit showrooms to source products, including materials, plumbing fixtures, appliances, furniture, lighting, and fabrics necessary for design presentations.
Production of material, plumbing, appliance, and furniture specifications to be integrated into architectural sets for construction and purchasing.
Track project tasks for multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced design environment.
Management of client meetings, project schedules, interiors budgets, and all deliverables throughout project phases.
Salary commensurate with experience.
