We are seeking a talented and ambitious Studio Director to help us start and manage our brand-new Boston branch.

From the peaks of snow-capped mountains to the vast coastline shores, Bull Stockwell Allen has mastered our signature site-specific architecture in some of the most beautiful natural environments in North America. Since our founding in 1968, we’ve instilled environmentally sensitive architecture into the philosophies of our designs to become nationally acclaimed experts in our field.

DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Studio Director to help us expand our reach and continue that philosophy with a brand-new Boston-based team. This person will have the opportunity to create a team of architects dedicated to bringing our East-coast resort, recreation, and hospitality projects to life. We need a strong leader who has a passion for mentoring a team of architects and designers and understands the business behind the profession.

This role will be a new position within the firm and will require an individual who is excited about building a new venture and can provide vision and direction for the East Coast market. 

Primary Duties Include:

  • Mentoring and training staff in adherence to proper procedures
  • Managing client relationships
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of Boston office
  • Ensuring brand, design, and technical continuity.

This position requires an entrepreneurial outlook, as the successful candidate will assist the firm in building our new brick-and-mortar location in the Boston area and has the opportunity to create their team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Licensure as an Architect
  • 10+ years of experience within the architecture profession
  • A Bachelor’s or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Exceptional Design skills
  • Technologically strong - Revit proficiency is a must
  • Client management skills- proven ability to successfully manage and sustain strong client relationships.
  • Project Management skills- budgets, staffing, and project plans
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with team members, consultants, and clients
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to lead and foster a creative and positive working environment
