About the Job

Our office is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead the design, coordination and documentation of residential and Development projects in New York City.

The Senior Project Architect’s role will primarily encompass project management and coordination internally and externally with our client, consultants, and contractor, with a focus on understanding and solving the various evolving needs in the context of ongoing design efforts. The candidate will need to identify critical path issues, search for solutions, and lead the implementation of them. They will report directly to a Principal and will lead the team independently thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day coordination and management of project team, including consultants
• Overseeing the completion of architectural contract documents
• Administration of ongoing and future construction efforts
• Meeting and managing client needs, in coordination with the various design team members and the construction team

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture
• 10+ years of professional experience in both custom residential and large-scale mixed-use projects through construction
• Experience with developer-driven projects
• Working knowledge of MEP/FP, structural systems
• Skill in internal team management, including managing design schedules and large architecture teams
• Skill in external team management, including establishing and driving coordination and delivery schedules among consultant teams 
• Strong critical thinking skills, an ability to carry out design concept to realization
• Fluency with Vectorworks or AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and MS Office
• Construction Administration experience is required
• NY Registered Architect a plus
