NDNY Architecture + Design is an award-winning full-service architecture firm. We specialize in new construction, renovations and additions to existing buildings in the residential, commercial and hospitality space. We have a slate of exciting new projects on the table and are looking to hire a full time Intermediate Architectural Designer. Our ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, person with an ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and communicate design concepts in collaboration with the team. Create project presentations and present work during client meetings. Manage day-to-day communication and interfacing with client  under supervision of Partner.
• Produce and execute project deliverables including project schedule, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Drawing sets, schedules, and specifications.
• Independently manage 2-3 small projects.
• Coordinate project sub-consultants such as Expediter, MEP, structural and lighting designers.
• Oversee Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, drafting RFI responses, and providing clarification sketches as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6-8 post-degree years of experience at an architecture firm with experience in the Design and Construction phases of architecture projects.
• Experience with production of Construction Documents and managing Construction Administration.
• Working knowledge of NYC building codes and DOB permitting process.
• Excellent English language communication and client-facing skills
• Proficient in Revit, Autocad & Adobe Creative Suite.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States. Currently living in NYC and available to start soon.
