PROJECT MANAGER (Positions in SF and LA)

Blitz provides the complete range of architectural services required to take a project from programming through construction. Our team of architects and interior and graphic designers work as one to create thoughtful design solutions with technical rigor.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for talented Project Managers who want to shape the future of commercial design. Our ideal candidate has stellar technical skills, plays well with others, manages deadlines like a boss, and rocks their job hard. The Project Managers at Blitz work on multiple projects and are responsible for directing and managing design teams through all project phases, providing decision-making and design leadership. They are involved in client interactions and consultant coordination and are responsible for overseeing production and maintaining project budgets, work plans, internal budgets, and schedules. A small portion of the role is devoted to new business development (primarily client interviews). Project Managers are responsible for keeping clients once they are won through the careful building of client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in architectural practice with management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy.
• Licensed Architect preferred but not required.  
• Experience in commercial interiors required. Experience with core and shell / adaptive reuse/hospitality a very strong plus. 
• Revit proficiency is required.  
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate with project team members, clients, consultants, and contractors. 
• Expert knowledge of local code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction. 
• Demonstrated ability to manage project teams to produce presentation materials for client and agency presentations. 
• Oversee & direct project production team members and schedule multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and projects and maintain progress in several areas simultaneously. 
• Experience with InFocus Project Management software a plus.
• Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Covid-19 vaccination may be required.
