We are seeking Intermediate designers with 4-7+ years of relevant professional experience on large scale mixed-use commercial development projects and masterplans. Must demonstrate experience working on notable projects.


Henning Larsen is an internationally renowned architectural firm with strong Scandinavian roots characterized by entrepreneurship, creativity and a global mindset. We opened our New York office in September 2018 and are looking for new, well-organized, colleagues who are interested in joining us as we grow. 

Responsibilities

  • Inquisitive and creative with design and technical solutions with the ability to translate them into professional documents
  •  
  • Optimistic and collaborative when engaging with team members
  •  
  • Using hand sketching and Rhino to describe conceptual design ideas and design development
  •  
  • Take on scope responsibility and portions of the project with a determined and self-starter approach
  •  
  • Scripting to produce generative design options
  •  
  • Analyzing and developing options for client design presentations
  •  
  • Using photoshop, adobe suite, and after effects computer programs to produce visual collateral for design presentations
  •  
  • Participating in design competitions and addressing design competition requirements
  •  
  • Coordinate with consultants and lead coordination sessions as required
  •  
  • Manage time and workload to meet project and task deadlines
  •  
  • Open to learning new information while also sharing knowledge with less experience staff

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 4-7+ years of post-graduate professional experience from Concept Design through Construction
  •  
  • Experience with new construction of class A mixed-use commercial buildings
  •  
  • Highly developed skills in client and consultant communications
  •  
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with an emphasis on consultant coordination
  •  
  • Practical understanding of materials, specifications, construction processes, systems, and methodologies in the US market
  •  
  • Practical knowledge of and experience with codes, DOB, and regulatory agencies
  •  
  • An architectural license (preferred); LEED accreditation (preferred)
  •  
  • Revit proficiency (required), practical knowledge of AutoCAD (required), Rhino (required), Grasshopper, Enscape, scripting and programming (required)
  •  
  • Organized professional who is comfortable working in a growing office
  •  
  • March degree from a NAAB accredited school
  •  
  • Must be eligible to work in the US permanently without sponsorship
  •  
  • Fluent in English
