We are passionate about sustainability, including meeting the goals of the AIA 2030 Commitment, and are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Sustainability Manager to steer and manage our policies and procedures related to LEED and other rating systems and methods.


Essential Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a guide and consult with internal project teams and Clients related to establishing and implementing sustainability goals
  • Monitor all projects pursuing LEED and other rating system certifications. Complete documentation and credit calculations in a detail oriented and organized manner
  • Track all project performance metrics including reporting for the AIA 2030 Commitment
  • Work with firm leaders to continue to evolve Bergmeyer’s sustainability strategy to improve upon the environmental impact of our work
  • Maintain and regularly update Bergmeyer’s Healthier Material Database and develop new tools to support best-practice sustainability strategies
  • Interface with a wide range of internal and external team members, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors and commissioning agents



  • Professional degree in related field
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • LEED Accreditation with specialty
  • WELL, Fitwel and/or Green Globes accreditation a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with managing LEED certification process from registration through certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Basic technical knowledge of building systems and operations and the ability to read, understand and interpret building floor plans, sections, site plans, zoning maps, interior furniture and finish plans, construction specifications and operational policies
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate progress
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills with multiple competing priorities.
