Ashe Leandro is an architecture and interior design practice based in New York City that was established in 2008. The firm is a small yet fast-paced practice with a primary focus on high-end residential projects. Typical projects range in scale and scope of work and have been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest and Elle Décor. Whether work pertains to a small decorative project downtown, a townhouse gut renovation on the Upper East Side, or new single-family construction on Martha’s Vineyard, we take pride in our work and always strive for excellence in design.

Currently, we are looking for a creative and talented architectural designer with a strong interest in interiors to join our team. The ideal candidate would be passionate about design, work well with others, and communicate their ideas in a clear and thoughtful manner. Under the direction of the lead architect and with the support of the architectural design team, the candidate will be expected to manage all phases of a project from schematic design, to construction details and administration.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are looking for hands-on site experience and to work directly with clients in a dynamic and creative downtown environment.

Requirements:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Rhino, and Enscape
  • Positive attitude, passion for design and self-motivation

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the design team in all phases of the design process
  • Research and source materials and prepare design presentations
  • Produce drawing sets for design development, construction and technical detailing
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with design team, client and contractors
  • Coordinate weekly contractor meetings to oversee construction progress
  • Oversee construction timeline with GC to ensure the project stays on schedule
  • Maintain regular communication with the client to provide updates and manage expectations
