Our New York City office is currently seeking an Architectural Designer to join the Architectural Practice. This is a great opportunity for an entry level architect to gain exposure to a wide variety of public sector projects, including but not limited to: rail/transit, administrative buildings, maintenance facilities and stations, K-8 schools, and courthouses.

  • Develop presentations, designs and technical solutions through all phases of a project
  • Assist in the preparation of architectural working drawings and related project documents
  • Assist in Construction Administration of projects including review of Shop Drawings, responding to requests for information, site visits and reports.
  • Collaborate with other project team members including Engineers, Consultants, Vendors, etc.
  • Prepare conceptual renderings and supporting graphics for project presentations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required
  • 3-5 years of experience in an architecture design/construction documentation role for various types of structures including: institutional, commercial, industrial, government (Federal, state and local)
  • Ability to become a registered architect in NY State
  • Must be able to work effectively both individually and within team situations
  • Must exhibit strong written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT Building Information Modeling Architecture with experience in both design and construction documentation is required
  • Proficiency with 3D Modeling software such as Sketch Up Pro, Rhino/3D Max and Adobe Creative Suite is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint is desired
  • Knowledge of International Building Codes is desired
