Job Title: Construction Project Manager 

Locations: G&B/GGET Main office- Vernon, CA

Classification: Direct-hire, Salary, FLSA-Exempt

We are looking for a qualified and passionate candidate that is experienced in retail & hospitality construction to join our team.  We are a rapidly growing specialty coffee company with the goal of doubling our retail locations in Southern California by 2022 before expanding to new markets. Our obsession with the highest quality coffee pushes us to build iconic cafes and unique hospitality models that serve neighborhoods and inspire human connection.    

In this position you will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects simultaneously from bidding thru project close-out. Our objective is for every location to be a unique innovative architectural experience and we look to you to ensure the design is translated into reality. 

What will I do?

  • Work with the design team to establish & manage project budgets.

  • Financial management throughout projects.

  • Establish & manage project schedules and forecast project staggering.

  • Compile bid documents, manage bidding, & award bids to contractors.  

  • Aid legal team to establish contract with GC.

  • Manage GC & Landlord’s expectations throughout construction and close-out.  

  • Review project for code compliance.

  • Manage construction administration; including RFI’s, Payment Applications, & COR’s.

  • Coordinate with other team members to manage store stock & train.

  • Coordinate the procurement, delivery, & installation of GGET equipment.  

  • Work with the design team to establish standards for quality control & detailing

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in A/E/C.

  • 3-5 years experience in construction management or construction administration.

  • Proficiency with Bluebeam & construction management software. Revit & Autocad a plus.

  • Excellent working knowledge of building codes, and ADA standards for accessible design.

  • Exceptional knowledge of construction contract administration policies, procedures, and concepts.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous input & responses.

  • Must be able to travel between construction sites.
