TAD is seeking a detail oriented business development manager to organize and manage our processes around client relations management, marketing material production and proposal creation. This employee will work directly with firm leadership and will be principally responsible for managing our client management system and the proposal creation process from within the confines of an established communications strategy.  This position will include, but is not limited to:

  • Planning, writing, and managing the execution of proposals in concert with our project leaders ranging in size and complexity from single page letters to multi-volume bound submissions while maintaining our brand standards.
  • Preparing presentations and interview materials for client interviews, speaking opportunities, and other engagements.
  • Updating and maintaining the website and social media channels.
  • Creating written and electronic marketing collateral include qualification packages, brochures, and unique communication pieces (press-releases, articles and newsletters as well as other copy).
  • Writing, organizing & maintaining project fact sheets, staff resumes and other project related data for ongoing use in marketing/business development efforts.
  • Updating and maintaining the client relationship management database.
  • Assisting technical staff members with writing articles for submission to various technical publications.



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with an emphasis in communications, management and/or design.

Work Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years fulltime experience in a marketing or business development role for a design related firm.


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to leverage project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects.
  • Ability to provide copy and layout for communication material that conforms with brand standards.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress for basic updates. Ability to create meaningful reports from a CRM database. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skillsFluency with Microsoft Office Suite. Fluency with Adobe InDesign.
